In February 2013 Clay & Co. was taken over by Sylvia Parsonage who already has an established solicitor’s practice, Parsonage & Co., in Teddington which she has run for the last 8 years.

Clay and Co. will now operate alongside Parsonage & Co Solicitors who can offer the following legal services in addition to the conveyancing work carried out by Clay & Co:-

Clay and Co. were first established as an independent firm at Hampton Court in 1992 subsequently moving to larger premises in 35253 Teddington, taking over the local firm of Ashfords. We have established a reputation as a firm which delivers a professional service at a competitive price. We now have many testimonials from a large number of satisfied clients.

Moving house can be a very stressful and even traumatic experience. Not only is a house purchase likely to be the most expensive financial transaction in most peoples' lives but it is also likely to be the most complicated. You may need to deal with your buyer and/or seller, surveyors, estate agents, banks, building societies, brokers and insurance agents (who in turn will be dealing with other parties in the transaction all with different requirements). We aim to guide you through the whole transaction as quickly as possible with the minimum of stress: we will keep you informed of progress and we will give you advice on mortgages, surveys, deposits, etc.

If you decide to use us your transaction will be carried out by an experienced qualified property lawyer who will usually be available to take your calls but even if you are not able to speak to the conveyancer concerned someone will always be available to provide an up-to-date report on the current situation on your file.

We are fully computerised but we pride ourselves on a personal service, and when you telephone you do not need to quote a reference number or even the address of the property - just your name will do. We also subscribe to "Clarity", the organisation dedicated to the use of plain English and we try to avoid legal jargon whenever we can.
